The Perfect Office #53

by GenCept | September 08, 2010

We've seen some great gadgets and equipment for designers. So many cool stuff, that we could actually assemble infinite perfect office spaces! Every week we'll assemble a perfect office, and we'd like you to help us. What equipment would the perfect office have?

Not only gadgets and equipment, but also furniture, sound system, gaming stuff (for lunch time!). A designer is totally allowed to dream with the perfect office, and that's what we're gonna do here! Comment telling us your suggestions, or even better, you may tell us via Facebook, and include "GenCept_Office" in the message, so we can check it. Alright? I hope you guys enjoy this brief selection. Cheers! ;)

Decorative Lighting Fixtures

The Perfect Office #53

If you’re looking for some original illumination, these freeform decorative lighting fixtures from Ango are a work of art! Each freeform light is a one-of-a-kind, hand-made of soldered wire to form a complex labyrinth of lines, nickel coated and interwoven with metalized thread. Intricately organic by design, these lamps blur the boundary between nature and technology. (at Trendir)

Uncapped

The Perfect Office #53

A pen cap blown up out of proportion, 8" tall to be exact. Instead of holding one pen, this pen cap will hold all your writing tools while adding a sense of humor to your desk. (at Holy Cool)

Monsieur Dressup Coat Hanger

The Perfect Office #53

Very clever and minimal wall coat hangers shaped like collars. (at Holy Cool)

TMA-1 Headphones

The Perfect Office #53

The TMA-1 are a DJ-style headphones much different from AIAIAI’s previous headphones — they are more utilitarian; the focus on this style was function. The TMA-1 was tested by some of the world’s most respected DJs: 27 leading names such as Tiga, James Murphy (one of my personal faves), A-Trak, Flying Lotus, Seth Troxler, Matthew Dear and Hot Chip, whose feedback helped shape the performance. Designed by Danish design firm KiBiSi and further developed in cooperation with Tartelet Records, Mannhandle and Thank You For Clapping, this new audio experience is one worth having. MosKeyto USB Drive

The Perfect Office #53

Looking for a very, very small USB drive? Well, LaCie has got you covered. The new MosKeyto is about as small as I can picture these things getting. It comes with a little cap and a way to attach it to a keyring, but other than that it’s just your standard tiny USB 2.0 drive. It comes in 4GB ($18), 8GB ($28), and (soon) 16GB ($38 maybe?) flavors and also includes online storage at Wuala, in case you couldn’t find a way to store things online at the five billion free storage sites out there. Arc Touch Mouse

The Perfect Office #53

he new Arc Touch Mouse keeps the same basic arc shape, but adds two cool new features. One is a capacitive touch scroll strip that allows you to swiftly navigate with the flick of a finger. The other feature is the ability to flatten the mouse for ease of packing. Nifty huh? This is a 2.4GHz wireless mouse with a snap in USB nano transceiver and up to a 6 month battery life. The Arc Touch won’t be available until January 2011, but it is currently available for pre-order through Microsoft for $69.95. (at The Gadgeteer)
