The clock connects to the electric grid, giving you real time consumption information. The device shows usage information, and also displays the cost of energy during the day, allowing you to run appliances whenever the cost of electricity is lower. (at Gizmodo)
PogoPlug Hard Drive
Pogoplug, the gadget that puts a hard drive's content's online just got a new feature: sharing of media with Xbox 360 and PS3 across the local network or cloud. Cloud access requires another Pogoplug to be local acting as an intermediary between remote drives and the console. The latest update also adds offsite backup functionality to remote pogos. PADandCLICK Gel Pads
It's not a new idea to stick little gel pads onto mice and keyboards to cope with the strain of browsing the Internet all day long, but the PADandCLICK system for mice caught our eye because it actually looks comfortable. Sure, it also looks a bit ugly and it won't work with some mice, but when you're spending upwards of eight hours clicking, then it's time to set those issues aside for the sake of comfort. Contigo Autoseal Bottles
It doesn’t matter if you are seven or seventy, drinking on the move can be a risky business: spills, leaks, dodgy screwtops, ill-fitting lids – we could go on. But we won’t because we need to tell you about Contigo’s groundbreaking range of 100% leak-proof travel mugs, water bottles and kids’ cups. (at 7Gadgets)
Bowers & Wilkins P5 Mobile Headphones
Wishing you could get Zeppelin-like performance on-the-go? Bowers & Wilkins P5 Mobile Headphones ($300) are likely to be as close as you can get. While the metal and sealed-leather construction isn't nearly as attention-grabbing as the company's stationary speakers, the P5 is a solid sonic performer, featuring ultra-linear neodymium magnets, mylar drive units, a noise-isolating design, and comfortable, cushy ear pads. As an added bonus, it includes an Apple Remote + Mic cable, letting you take calls on your iPhone, or control that silly buttonless shuffle you got as a stocking stuffer. (at Uncrate)
Dell Vostro 3000 Series
The Vostro 3300, 3400, 3500, and 3700 range from 13-inches to 17-inches, and all offer Core i3 and Core i5 processor options. For true juiceheads, the 17-inch Vostro 3700 even includes a Core i7 Quad Core option. Even better: a discrete graphics option. You can add an Nvidia Geforce 310M 512MB graphics card to the 3300-3500, while the 3700 has an optional Nvidia Geforce GT 330M 1GB card. (at Gizmodo)
Fun pick of the day
